↑ Special Bulletin: Date - 3/14/2010

Ok as I mentioned before I have both an announcement and a fix. 1st the announcement.

XBMC for Xbox is splitting off of the main XBMC tree. It has been in the works off and on since about August of last year and we are FINALLY getting somewhere with it. It sounds worse than it is. It is really a GOOD thing for the XBOX community as a whole. Good points are Arnova finally gets to go back to actually CODING instead of just doing merges and trying to keep the Xbox branch working. As things progress XBOX will pretty much be a total different app. It will no longer have to rely on things that are pushing the Xbox past its ability to function [think dvdplayer] and the Skins will be totally seperate as well. So no more out of memory issues and stuff like that. It is still in the VERY early stages and I expect it to take a couple of months to finally be in an organized and working situation. I'll follow up more on this later this week.

Now the fix
I fixed the PCInstaller, PC, and PCO packages to include the missing addons directory, so no more blank screens. If you downloaded tonight's build. Uninstall it [or not, doesn't matter] and RE-Download any of tonight's Win32 packages and either re-install or extract over [depending on which package you get] and it will fix that problem.

Well just to toss everyone for a loop I decided to add a new build tonight. Not a whole lot of changes from last night infact none for Xbox. But they did fix a few cosmetic issues so I guess it is worth it :) r28576 is the revision. So grab em while they are smokin.

So there still are issues with the building. Namely the addons are empty. SO download this Addons pack and extract them to your C:\Program Files\xbmc\addons dir or C:\Program Files(x86)\xbmc\addons for us x64 users and it fixes that problem up right now. I looked in the dir after install and it was empty. so i pulled these out of SVN and copied them into my addons dir and poof there was everything. Hope it helps

As promised, it is Friday and with that comes totally unsupported, untested, and most likely borked build. r28569 is the revision and I can tell you for sure the scrapers are still borked. Xbox seems ok, but the rest, not so good. But you asked [A LOT] for new builds so here they are :). Please remember, these ARE broken in many ways yet, so please do not bother the devs with bug reports, issue requests, or requests as they will not be pleased with me or you :)

Karl is today's Official Favorite Person of the Day. Why you ask? Well he told me I'm a dolt and the Scrapers are actually working fine with this build. YES. Well not that I am a dolt or anything, but that the scrapers DO WORK. The quote "The scraper config has changed though, you need to go into the new "Add ons" section and enable the scrapers you want (I have tested IMDB and TVDB)." So there you have it

Just one more day until your next unoffical svn fix :) But since Xbox isn't suffering from most of what ails the other trunks you can download tonight's below.

What a difference a day makes. Seems like all hell has broken out behind the scene and I admit I am part of it :) Can't go into specifics tonight, but expect an announcement in the next few days concerning the Xbox branch of XBMC. Hint, it is a good thing :). Now if there was going to be a release tonight it might have been 28531 but there isn't. Yah I know, starting to feel a lot like the old Beta 1/2/RC1 thing again, but hey give em a little time to sort this mess out and once done all will be well in the land of XBMC once again.

Adding 2 new sections to the site. Buy/Sell/Trade. Available from the "Forum" link on the left. Here you will be able to buy/sell/trade hardware for Xbox/PC/Whatever and a new Scripts section.
If anyone is interested in helping with the scripts section please let me know. I need someone to get me the scripts with descriptions/maintainer/home url information, much like the Skins section.
